Contrast slams Officials Dismiss Film 'Senyap'

MAKASSAR (IFN) - The Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (KontraS) along Sulawesi Solidarity with Victims of Human Rights Violations (SKPHAM) Central Sulawesi condemned the forced dissolution of the screening and discussion of the film "Senyap" (Silent) in Mamuju, West Sulawesi.

"We condemn the forced dissolution of the police and other security forces during the discussions and film screenings in warkop Abang, Mamuju, West Sulawesi," said a member of Sulawesi KontraS Asyari Mukrim in his press statement received in Makassar, Monday, March  30.

Forced dissolution discussion and screening of the film "Silent" occurred on Saturday, March 28th, 2015 at around 20:00 pm.

"There was intimidation and forcible dissolution effort when it is done by the police Police assisted Produktion District Military Command, as well as the Attorney including BAIS labeled security during the event," said Asyari.
