JAKARTA, Indonesia - After a long never progress, investigation of corruption cases involving former Director General of Taxes, Hadi Purnomo, resumed,
Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), today to schedule an examination of the former Chairman of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia, in his capacity as a suspect in a corruption case related to acceptance of all plaintiffs objected Taxpayer Tax Assessments Nil (SKPN) Corporate Income Tax PT BCA, Tbk tax year 1999.
"Today HP (Hadi Purnomo) scheduled to be examined as a suspect," said Head of News and Publications Priharsa Nugraha in Jakarta, Thursday (03/12/2015). On previous occasions, the anti rasuah this commission, never call, namely on March 5, 2015 last. However, Hadi does not meet the call.
To note, the Commission set Hadi Purnomo as a suspect case on April 21, 2014, ahead of Hadi end to his duties as chairman of the CPC. That was the case when Hadi still served as Director General of the Directorate General of Taxation 2002-2004.
In this case, as the Director General of Taxation Hadi alleged change of mind study director SKPN PPH PPH BCA. Letters 1999-2003 income tax objection was filed on July 17, 2003 BCA related Non Performance Loan (NPL or non-performing loans) worth Rp5.7 trillion to the director of the Tax Directorate General PPH. After the review, issued a letter of introduction from director PPH objection treatise on March 13, 2004 to the Director General of Taxes to the conclusion that the taxpayer's objection petition BCA rejected.
However, one day before it was due to give a final decision BCA, on July 18, 2004, Hadi as the director general of taxes, ordered that the Director PPH change the conclusions. Conclusion originally declared rejected, changed to accept the whole mind.
Hadi then Director General of Taxation issued a decree which decided to accept the entire objection taxpayer so that there is not enough time for the director of PPH to provide feedback on the different conclusions. Upon receipt of the objection that harmed the country's financial worth Rp375 billion.
Above actions, the Commission menyangkakan Hadi Purnomo pursuant to Article 2 paragraph (1) and Article 3 of Law No. 31 of 1999 as amended by Act No. 20 of 2001 on the Eradication of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) to-1 of the Criminal Code.
Article is set on every person who acts unlawfully enrich themselves or any other person or corporation that could harm the state finances, and every person that abuse of authority by a maximum penalty of 20 years maximum fine of Rp 1 billion.
