IDX Expected Domestic Investors Increasing

JAKARTA - Indonesian Exchange (IDX) expects the number of domestic investors continued to increase so as to maintain the capital market of the negative sentiment arising from the global.


"Increasing the number of local investors will help the capital markets remain stable if it appears turmoil in global stock markets," said Director of Capital Market Development in between the IDX Friderica Widyasari Gemilang, on Thursday, March 12.

He expects that with the increasing number of local investors can increase the ownership of assets in the capital market. Currently, foreign investors still dominate the ownership of assets in the domestic capital market.

"The value of the asset holdings of foreign investors in the domestic capital market of about 60 percent, but for local investors dominate transaction activity," he said.

Friderica Widyasari Goddess also expects through Investa Stock Gemilang program, to encourage the whole society to become investors and participate in this activity. By becoming an investor in the stock market means to participate in the economic development of the country.

Gemilang Investa Exchange is a lottery program that is intended for new investors, "existing" investors who invite others to become investors in the capital market as well as "sales" Exchange Member.

Regarding the Indonesian capital market conditions, Friderica Widyasari Goddess considered that the domestic capital market is still quite stable due to the high value of foreign net buying in the domestic stock market.

"JCI movement is being anomalous, but we remain confident Indonesian capital market will remain positive," he said.
