"Garuda Indonesia's financial performance in 2014 was influenced by the condition of the airline industry, not only in Indonesia, but also in the world today is experiencing turbulence," said President Director of Garuda Indonesia Arif Wibowo in a press conference titled "Analyst Meeting" in Jakarta, Friday.
Arif said that the weakening of the rupiah against the US dollar and the price of fuel which previously had reached the highest price, and spec regulations unfavorable to the aviation industry has given a tremendous impact on the performance of international airline companies, including Garuda Indonesia.
Moreover, he added, Garuda's financial performance is also influenced by the presence of "impairment loss" suffered by the company amounted to 113.5 million US dollars from the "early termination", a re-evaluation of the assets and investments of the company Merpati Nusantara Airline flight and gate Space .
Arif said the total debt of the state-owned airline to reach 40 million US dollars to Garuda, the details of 21.4 million US dollars lost revenue in 2015 of 19 million US dollars in 2014.

Arif said donations loss operating expenses eat up 14.62 percent to 4.30 billion US dollars in 2014 from 3.75 billion dollars in 2013, the cost of maintenance and repair recorded an increase of 287.13 million US dollars in 2013 to 420, 89 million US dollars in 2014.
However, Garuda posted operating income of 3.93 billion US dollars, an increase of 4.6 percent compared to the year 2013 amounted to 3.76 billion US dollars.
