Indonesia - China Signed MoU Fast Trains Jakarta-Bandung

JAKARTA, [IFN] - State Enterprises Minister Rini Mariani Soemarno and colleagues from China, has signed a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding / MoU) plans to build a fast train Jakarta-Bandung.

It is revealed from the results of the bilateral meeting both government delegation on Thursday, March 26, as outlined in the Joint Statement of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Between the Government of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) with the PRC Government. Theme bilateral meeting is the Partnership for Peace and Prosperity.

Both countries agreed to bring the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in the real work that will benefit the people of Indonesia and China. The focus of bilateral talks related to efforts to increase cooperation in the fields of trade, finance, infrastructure, industry, tourism, and inter-community relations.

"We invite the Chinese to increase the flow of direct investment in various fields to Indonesia. The two presidents also touched on regional issues of common concern," said Jokowi as reported on the official website Setkab, Friday, March 27.

The two presidents also agreed to synergize ideas and initiatives Axis World Maritime Maritime Silk Road or the 21st Century 21st Century Maritime Silk Road in order to realize the maritime connectivity in the region, through the development of infrastructure.

As a signatory to eight cooperation documents, which include:

1. Economic kerjsama MoU between CMEA RI with the National Development and Reform Commission of the PRC
2. MoU Industrial and Infrastructure Development Cooperation between the National Development and Reform Commission of the PRC with the Minister of SOEs
3. The MoU between the Minister of SOEs with the National Development and Reform Commission of China Railway Construction Project Fast To Jakarta - Bandung
4. Memorandum of Understanding between the National Search and Rescue Agency (BASARNAS) RI with the Minister of Transport of PRC
5. Cooperation Agreement between the Government of Indonesia and the PRC for the prevention of double taxation
6. Memorandum of Understanding between the National Space Development Agency (LAPAN) with China National Space Agency
7. MoU between the Minister of SOEs with China Development Bank Corporation (CDBC).

The President was accompanied by First Lady Iriana Jokowi and several Cabinet ministers Working on a working visit to the Chinese People's Republic (PRC) on Wednesday 25 March after a trip to Japan.
