The proposal, he said, based on the "noise" that occurs in the community due to the increase in fuel prices that are asymmetric. To that end he proposed fuel price set each year by assuming the price "crude oil" (crude oil) and the dollar follow what is stated in the budget.
"If it turns out later in the implementation of crude oil price is higher than the price set by the government, that I refer to as a fiscal risk," said a member of the fraction of Gerindra it.

Kurtubi understand that the government's decision to raise fuel prices as of 28 March, is motivated by the rising prices of petroleum products in accordance benchmark Platts Singapore (MOPS) and the weakening of the exchange rate.

Responding to the proposal, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said said that it is always open to feedback or correction obtained as a consequence of the implementation of his policy.
"Some suggested every month, every three months, once a year, all the input we received because it is a good policy that is always open to the aspirations of the people," he said.
He also stated that based on his discussions with the Minister of Transportation, the increase in fuel prices led to public transport fares rose by only 3 percent. "If only freight rates rose only 3 percent, the price of basic commodities increase is definitely smaller," he said.
According to him, the important thing is to fix the psychological condition of the people of Indonesia to the increase in fuel does not become a "drama" or source of noise "It should be accustomed (to the public) that the fuel has its price, and the price is sometimes rise sometimes down," he said.
