METRO LAMPUNG, Indonesia -- Mayor Metro Lukman Hakim, Sunday inaugurated the waste bank in the Village Green Cups Rejomulyo South Metro and campaign for saving movement garbage for residents.
He hopes that the inauguration of this garbage bank will be the beginning of a movement of self-sufficiency in waste management community, Antara reported.
"If this kind of movement is growing in all villages in Metro City, I believe that the problem of waste management in the city can be resolved," he said.
At the inauguration, the owner of AMC Hospital, Dr. Wahdi Siradjuddin also gave assistance in the form of a motorcycle CSR bins to support the operation of the waste bank.
Patrons waste banks Cups Green, Prof Dr M Akib said that the idea of collaboration between citizens, private sector, universities and the government will be very effective in the management of environmental issues.
"I hope the participation and collaboration of this kind can continue to grow and become a model of effective environmental movement," said the professor of Environmental Law Faculty of Law, University of Lampung (Unila) it.
In the inauguration was attended by hundreds of residents, attended Dr. FX Sumardja, Dr. Bambang Suhada, and some academics from universities in Metro City.
In addition to residents, students from various campuses in Metro City is also participating in this event.
