Mitsubishi's new factory in Bekasi by Masuko is the third largest Mitsubishi plant in the world to manufacture the latest variant of the small MPV segment with a capacity of 1500 cc engine.

Production small MPV, he added, will begin in August 2017 with a total production of 25,000 to 30,000 units to market in Indonesia and then increased production of 80,000 units per year of the total production of 160,000 units.

Exports will begin in 2018 to the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. Further to Africa, the Middle East and South America.

In addition to producing SMPV, the plant will also produce Pajero Sport and COLT L300 but not for export.

MMC has a total of 30 plants worldwide. The factory in Indonesia will be one of the strategically important factories in addition in Thailand, China, and Russia.
