JAKARTA, [IFN] - PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (Telkom) to make business broadband (broadband) as one of the mainstays of income in 2015, which is expected to reach Rp100 trillion.

Now Telkom is continuing construction of the backbone of Timika to Merauke. So that in September 2015, Indonesia already has a toll-optic cable from Sabang to Merauke.
He added that the company is also ready to make Indonesia as a global path network through development cooperation international submarine cables.
On March 7, 2014, through its subsidiary PT Telkom Indonesia Telecommunications International (Telin) helped build submarine cable communication system linking Indonesia to the western hemisphere countries to Europe through the Consortium of South East Asia-Middle East-Western Europe 5 (SEA-ME- WE 5) along 20,000 miles.
In August 2014, re-joined the consortium Telin South East Asia-United States (SEA-US) to build international submarine cable system connecting the backbone network system to parts of East Indonesia to the United States.
Telkom has also pocketed submarine cable network development plan, named Indonesia Global Gateway to connect the SEA-ME-WE 5 with SEA-US.
The third major submarine cable infrastructure complements the world-scale international infrastructure that has been owned previously Telin. Indonesia's Global Development Gateaway expected to be completed in 2016.
In the info memo financial statements of 2014, revenue from data, internet and IT services (including SMS) from Telkom increased 24 percent compared to same period in 2013 became Rp24,1 trillion.
Mobile data services successfully recorded revenue growth of 34.2 percent from Rp10.5 trillion in 2013 to Rp14.1 trillion in 2014. Meanwhile, fixed broadband services also grew by 7.8 percent from 4.6 trillion to 4.9 trillion in 2014.
From the operational side, the number of broadband users increased by 12.1 percent compared to the same period a year earlier to 71.3 million subscribers. Users of fixed broadband services also increased 12.8 percent compared to the same period the previous year to 3.4 million subscribers.
Telkom in 2015 targeting revenue of Rp 100 trillion to 300 trillion market capitalization, is projected in the next five years capitalization reached Rp1,000 trillion.
Indo Premier Securities analyst, Chandra Parasribu, in his research stating the data business is starting to become one of the advocates of revenue from Telkom.
Similarly Buana Capital analyst, Teuku Andrean, Telkom optimistic business outlook is still positive in 2015 as the number of smartphone users continues to increase.
