LAMPUNG, INDONESIA - Robusta coffee exports from the Province of Lampung during February 2015 reached 13 989 tons worth 28.2 million US dollars, an increase compared to the previous month.
"The volume and value of exports during the period when compared to the previous month rose by 18.4 million US dollars weighing 9101 tons," said Head of Trade Lampung Province Feriyana were accompanied by Head of Foreign Trade Ratna Dewi in Bandar Lampung, Monday.
He said that the increase in coffee exports was due to stock sufficient to fulfill the contract exporters to overseas buyers.
According to him, exporters still have stock of coffee beans to fulfill the contract. In addition to farmers, also will enter the harvest.
Exports of coffee beans, he said, is still ongoing despite the harvest is expected to remain around a few months away.
Based on data collected Koperindag Lampung, showed exports of robusta and arabica coffee beans that area towards some countries, particularly in Europe and Asia.
Besides exporting Robusta coffee beans, Lampung province also export Arabica coffee beans, though not as much robusta.
Arabica coffee bean exports, he added, worth 219 480 US dollars with a weight of 13.9 tons in the month of February 2015.
"The number of arabica coffee exports were down compared to the previous month, which is worth 257 234 US dollars with a weight of 48.2 tons," he said.
Country of Lampung coffee exports, among others Alzajair, Armenia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Egypt, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Morocco, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Africa south, Romania, Iran, the United States, and Sweden.
