JAKARTA - Politicians National Mandate Party (PAN) Tjatur Sapto Edy officially announced his resignation as Chairman of the PAN and has sent a letter to the Chairman of the DPP PAN Zulkifli Hasan.
"Yesterday (Tuesday, 3/10) has sent an official letter of resignation and had no hands chairman (DPP PAN) new," Tjatur said during a press conference at Parliament Nusantara I Building, Wednesday.
He said he had a year ago wanted to resign as Chairman of the PAN. Tjatur said, the reason is he is resigning Chairman of the PAN longest in the history of which is five years. According to him, the Chairman of the PAN before he served nothing like him.
"Chairman of the PAN before me was not until five years for example, Mr. Hatta 1.5 years, Farhan Hamid, Abdillah Toha and Zulkifli Hasan two years," he said.
He said the chairman of the faction of the other party has occupied elsewhere except himself and Ahmad Muzani of Fraction Gerindra.
According to him, required a new and refreshing atmosphere in the PAN.
"Chairman of the PAN interesting because the only selected for the other faction appointed," he said.
Tjatur said, he did not know and have not heard a response DPP Chairman Zulkifli Hasan related PAN his resignation.
He asks the public to wait for an answer from Zulkifli for his resignation letter has been sent to Zulkifli on Tuesday (10/3).
"I do not want to suppose that he (Zulkifli) rejected (resignation)," said Tjatur.
