Upps....Facebook developing solar drones

NEW YORK, [IFN] -- Facebook has announced a commitment to providing connectivity for people who have no access to the Internet, provided by a benevolent fleet of solar-powered drones.

They’ll send the drones — which will be about 156 feet wide — around the world to hover over the five billion people who currently can’t access to the web.

Though this project is still in the planning stages and could take years to reach its goals, Facebook says some test flights could happen as soon as this summer.

This is interesting news. Let us imagine, the people in Papua, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku and other regions, which have not yet reached the Internet, will be able to access Facebook.

Sure, easy for up to date status. But, it is also easy dselewengkan for no good purpose, including in relation to security problems in Indonesia. There are always two sides, good and bad indeed.
