Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno LP Marsudi welcomed the arrival of 91 Indonesian citizens (citizen), who had been evacuated from Yemen, at Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport on Monday morning (13/4), according to the Foreign Ministry press release received here on Monday.
The return of the citizen of Yemen returned to the country using a Boeing 737-400 aircraft belonging to the Air Force fleet to eight since the intensification of the evacuation began.
Secretary of evacuation coordinator expressed his appreciation to the citizen Evacuation Team consisting of representatives from the Foreign Ministry, Air Force, Police, State Intelligence Agency (BIN).
According to Retno, communication and coordination between all parties have made it possible evacuation done quickly, safely, and efficiently.
However, the security situation in Yemen, particularly the city of Aden and surrounding areas, is still very alarming. Armed clashes between the warring parties continue and the number of civilian casualties continues to grow.
Therefore, Evacuation Team citizens in Yemen should continue to adjust the scenario, step and evacuation process.
In this Monday (13/4) team evacuation of citizens in Aden and Djibouti in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross (International Committee of the Red Crosses / ICRC) is conducting evacuation 112 citizens from Aden to Djibouti.
After nearly a week stuck in Aden city shelter and can not be evacuated because of the security situation, the citizen is now located in the port of Aden waiting vessels chartered Indonesian government of Djibouti.
With the return of the 91 citizen of Yemen, since the end of December 2014 the Government has managed to evacuate as many as 1,795 out of a Yemeni citizen and citizen of which 1,002 have arrived back in Indonesia.
While the remaining 793 were in a safe location in Salalah, Oman and Djibouti City, Djibouti awaiting repatriation to Indonesia.
Until now there are a number of citizens who are in various shelters and waiting for the next evacuation process, ie 140 citizens in Al Mukalla and 87 citizens in Al Hudaydah.
Related to the security situation in Yemen, the Government of Indonesia again deplores berjatuhannya civilian casualties in clashes in Yemen.
The Indonesian government continue to call upon all parties to exercise restraint and attention to the safety of civilians, both Yemenis and foreigners.
The Indonesian government calls on all parties in Yemen to adopt a humanitarian pause (humanitarian pause) to provide an opportunity for civilians, including Indonesians evacuated from Yemen and the entry of humanitarian aid.
The government also encourages all parties to give priority to diplomacy and dialogue to resolve the problems faced in Yemen.
