Jakarta, IFN - Armed Forces Commander Gen. Moeldoko visited and reviewing Garuda troops who are carrying out peacekeeping mission in Lebanon, Friday.
This visit in order to see and know closely the implementation of the tasks Army personnel who were carrying out duties as Peacekeepers in the UN mission (United Nations) in Lebanon.
During his visit in Lebanon, the Army Commander was accompanied among others by TNI Commander Rear Admiral TNI Asintel Amri Husaini, Asops Armed Forces Commander Major General R. Indra Hidayat, Kapuspen TNI Major General M. Fuad Basya, and Army Chief of Staff Major General Asops Johnny L. Tobing.
On arrival at Naqoura, the Army Commander and his entourage received by Garuda Contingent Commander Colonel Koswara Danni accompanied Indo FPC Task Force Commander (Force Protection Company) Konga XXVI-G2 / UNIFIL Lt. Col. Muhammad Sjahroni, and went straight to the HQ UNIFIL (United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon - Headquarter).
The arrival of the military commander and his entourage at UNIFIL HQ welcomed by UNIFIL Force Commander Major General Luciano Portolano, and received an Honorary Jajar of UNIFIL forces. The meeting between Gen. Dr. Moeldoko with Gen. Luciano Portolano take place with full of intimacy, ending exchange of souvenirs.
Furthermore, the Army Commander and his entourage headed toward Sudirman Camp, Naqoura-Lebanon to meet with Garuda troops serving in UNIFIL HQ. In his briefing, Gen. Dr. Moeldoko thank them for their dedication and performance of the Army personnel during the performance of tasks that was appreciated by the UNIFIL Force Commander.
TNI Commander also advised the Garuda troops who served as peacekeepers in Lebanon in order to maintain and improve discipline, loyalty, passion, cooperation in the implementation of tasks and keep the good name of Indonesia.
